Kate Hoerner Fitness has 3 branches serving 3 types of clients:
1. Potential studio owners
I support potential studio owners from the very beginning stages of their concepts. I help them build business plans and financial projections, and provide guidance all the way through the start-up process.

2. Existing studio owners and managers
I advise and consult with existing owners and managers who need help with any and all of the following:
- Hiring and training instructors
- Understanding the numbers and budget
- Streamlining operations and finding the best vendors and pricing
- Growing and retaining members
- Marketing & advertising
3. Indoor cycling instructors
I coach instructors to feel more confident on the podium, build their leadership skills, and fill their classes.
Most instructors learn quickly that the indoor cycling certifications are limited and limiting. They can’t keep up with the proliferation of indoor cycling studios and formats, which means instructors have very few options for sound and reliable resources. To add fuel to the fire, the bar has been set much higher for instructors because clients are willing to pay a premium for boutique fitness classes. This means that instructors have to figure out how to meet these high standards in a fitness world that’s devoid of resources and support.
I created Kate Hoerner Fitness in order to provide coaching and resources to instructors (most of which I offer for free) because I believe that a job driven by a passion to help others should not be surrounded by so much struggle.
The mission behind Kate Hoerner Fitness is to provide a judgement-free space in which indoor cycling instructors can enhance their knowledge and grow their coaching skills so that they can pursue their passion in a way that’s fun, efficient, and sustainable.
I coach new instructors to become more comfortable and confident on the instructor stage by teaching them proven methods for planning and executing their classes, one of which is the Cycle Poet Method. I also coach instructors on self-care and striking balance between teaching classes and accomplishing their personal fitness, nutrition, and health goals.
I will be the first to tell you that I don’t know everything. I have been an instructor for over a decade, but I know people who have been teaching for double, even triple that time. What makes me different is my mindset.
There’s a selfish mentality that brands most experienced instructors because they operate in scarcity and believe that sharing their insights will take away from their own value. Many of these instructors also get stuck in their own dogma, and close their minds to new ideas. What’s worse is that a lot of these instructors use their experience as a justification for shaming new instructors who come to them wide-eyed and eager to learn.
I created a community of abundance where instructors can learn from each other in a safe, encouraging, and supportive environment. Come join us in the Indoor Cycling Instructor Crew to see what I mean.
